Dr. Philip Melchers, DMD
Dr. Philip Melchers grew up in Mount Pleasant and earned his dental degree from MUSC College of Dental Medicine in 2017. After practicing in Anderson, SC for three years, he returned home to continue serving the community alongside his father. A member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the South Carolina Dental Association, Dr. Philip is certified in laser dentistry through the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is passionate about providing painless, modern dental care, using laser dentistry and advanced techniques to make visits comfortable for patients of all ages.
Outside the office, Dr. Philip enjoys family time with his wife and three sons, hunting, fishing, surfing, and playing the mandolin. He is also an active member of East Cooper Baptist Church, where he leads a community group.
Dr. Ted Melchers, DMD
Dr. Ted Melchers has been serving Mount Pleasant and Charleston for decades, graduating from MUSC School of Dentistry in 1984. A member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Dr. Ted specializes in conservative, minimally invasive treatments. He focuses on painless dentistry, sleep apnea, snoring treatment, and aesthetic enhancements.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ted enjoys fishing, hunting, beekeeping, and playing trumpet in local ensembles. A fifth-generation Charlestonian, Dr. Ted and his family have been dedicated to serving the community for generations, and he continues to be an active Elder at East Cooper Baptist Church.
